Nubuck, oiled leather, suede, EVA
A short guide to what changes when the footbed stays the same.

Oiled leather darkens and softens. It takes a mark and usually looks better for it. Nubuck is buffed, so it feels like velvet and wants a brush rather than a soak.
Suede on the Bergen clog is the indoor-outdoor choice: soft at the collar, less shiny than leather. Flexskin is the lightweight coated option. EVA is the washable one, molded in a single piece for wet floors.
The cork edge can dry out. A little balm on the sidewall, not on the suede lining, is the whole care routine.
